Harold Vernon
Harold Vernon is a major character who debuted in Dawn Blossom. He is the childhood friend of Stella Lily, the older brother of Lyla Vernon, and cousin of Bruno.
Background
Harold was born and raised in Thistle Village. Throughout his childhood, he and his cousin Bruno would sometimes do jobs for criminals. He eventually learned how to fight and protect his siblings and cousins. He also acquired skills such as surveillance and street smart. He is childhood friends with Stella Lily who seems to have a crush on him.

This section contains a plot summary of Harold's point of view from each story arc.
Harold was napping in his home when Stella arrived asking for help locating her stolen self-portrait. When a clue left behind by the thief, Harold and Stella along with Lyla and Bruno went to Lizi Woods. He and Bruno went to look a clothing store while Stella and Lyla looked for an inn. In front of the store, Harold saw a suspicious person with jade eyes leaving. He had Bruno followed him. Harold went to a restaurant and accidentally confronted the thief named Mei. He and she left the restaurant to fight which Harold won. Mei admitted that she and the jade-eyed young man stole Stella's self-portrait. She led Harold to the clothing store to give back the portrait. Stella, Lyla, and Bruno showed up along the way. At the store again, it was revealed that the jade-eyed young man stole the portrait for himself. Mei said the thief might being going to the beach in the south. Harold and his friends then head for the beach.
Harold arrived in Boluo along with Stella, Lyla, and Bruno. He and Bruno went into an open bar where Harold was confronted by a young man after he tried talking to the bartender. Bruno followed the young man and the bartender as Harold believed they might know something about the jade-eyed young man. The next following, Bruno showed Harold the house of the young man and the bartender who were revealed to be siblings. While waiting and watching the house, Bruno showed up chasing after someone. Stella and Lyla also showed up at the same time. In front of the house, Harold, Stella, and Lyla fought against the siblings and won. The siblings named Chang and Ming said the jade-eyed young man might have went to the farm in the west. Harold and his friends leave the beach for the farm.
Harold arrived at Shizi Farm along with Stella Lily, Lyla, and Bruno. Realzing that there was no place to sleep, the group decided to camp up north. While fishing by himself, Harold was attacked by a white Dog whom he defeated. The following morning, everyone went back to the farm where they were attacked by a Monkey on the roof. Harold and Stella were to distract the Monkey while Bruno and Lyla sneak to the back of the house. During the distraction, he and Stella were attacked by a Chicken. Before the fight can end, the Chicken ran away. The Monkey transformed into a young man named Jin who said the Jade Cat told him his girlfriend, revealed to be the Chicken, would be stolen by Harold. They went into Jin's house where they were attacked by Jin's girlfriend Yan. After clearing the confusion, Jin said the Jade Cat might be heading further north to Putao Mountain. Everyone then leave the farm for the mountain.
Harold arrived in Putao Mountain along with Stella Lily, Lyla, and Bruno at midnight. The following morning at a local restuarant, two young man with long coats entered talking about a security meeting. Harold followed one of them while Bruno followed the other. His target led him to the top of the mountain where he was almost exposed, so he retreated back to the inn. At the inn, the two young men whose name were Zhong and Lan arrived to question Stella. Afterwards, Harold and Bruno followed them to the top of the mountain and fought against them after the Jade Cat showed up and left. With Zhong and Lan defeated, Harold learned from Zhong that the Jade Cat was from Longyan Town which will be their next destination. With this information, everyone leave the mountain and went to Longyan Town.
Harold arrived in Longyan Town with Stella, Lyla, and Bruno. After checking in at an inn, he and Bruno secretly followed Stella and Lyla into a theater where they watched a play. Afterwards, Harold and Bruno realized they were followed and lured their pursuer into a alley. The pursuer was the same person who attacked Harold during Dusk Harvest. Bruno defeated the pursuer and learned that the Jade Cat is the nephew of the mayor. Harold and Bruno went to the mayor's house where they were confronted by Haoran the Jade Cat and Yuze the assistant for the mayor. They defeated their opponents and saw Stella and Lyla exit the mayor's house. After the fight, the mayor returned Stella's self-portrait. Everyone returned to Stella's house and had dinner together. After eating, Harold said goodbye to Stella, her twin sister, and Mom, and went home to Thistle Village with Bruno and Lyla.
Harold was on his way to meet up with his partner Edgar when Cecilia noticed him and took him to see his childhood friend Stella Lily. He explained to them he was investigating a case of the missing journalist. He left them and went back to Edgar who was surveying the house of a suspect named Vincent. They both knocked on the door. Vincent answered and tried to run suspecting they were police officers. Harold quickly ran after him and defeated him. Edgar searched the house for clues as Harold interrogated Vincent who gave up the name Soleil and paint store. He and Edgar went to the inn where he introduced him to Stella Lily and Cecilia. In turned out that the mother-daughter duo already met Soleil, so they showed the boys where it was. At the paint store, Harold defeated Soleil and Edgar defeated Gervais. He partner was about to question Soleil, but then a Goblin showed up and murdered Soleil. Harold then left Pomme Town along with Stella, Cecilia, and Edgar.
Harold arrived in Clementine Valley along with his partner Edgar, Stella, and Cecilia. Before spending the night at the inn, he and Edgar go to buy flower at the local flower shop. The following morning, they ate breakfast and Cecilia noticed two guys across the street surveying them. One guy in a green shirt and another in a purple shirt. Harold led the purple shirt guy away while Edgar led the green shirt guy. After defeating Fabien, Harold met up with Edgar and together they went back to the flower shop. At the back of the shop, Stella and Cecilia had defeated the owner Suzette who revealed that she was to take out the Leaf Wolf and the Rainbow Girl. With the information, Harold leave the valley along with Edgar, Stella, and Cecilia.
After arriving in Poire Desert, Harold along with Stella, Cecilia, and Edgar. They ate and checked in at an inn. He and Edgar then went out to continue their investigation. They were approached by a person called Bastien who claimed to have seen a Unicorn. Harold asked Stella and Cecilia to follow Bastien inside a building. After a few minutes, the mother-daughter duo walked out saying that Cecilia had defeated Bastien. Inside the building, he and Harold interrogated Bastien for information on the Unicorn. Later that night at midnight, Harold and Edgar fought against Olivier the Iridescent Unicorn and his subordinate Jules. During the fight, Olivier ran away. The following morning, they leave town to go after Olivier.
Harold arrived in Groseilles Forest along with Stella, Cecilia, and Edgar. After eating and checking in at the inn, Harold and Edgar continued their investigation at the local bar. They get into a fight against the locals. As they leave, they were followed and lead into a fight against Hilaire the Lustrous Goblin and Olivier the Iridescent Unicorn. During the fight, Stella and Cecilia arrived to help against Olivier. Edgar was severely injured by the Goblin and almost died, but Harold saved him by inserting a nearby Maiden's Eagle Construct. After defeating the Goblin, Harold and Edgar watched as Hilaire was murdered by a woman with an icy glare. They leave the forest to go after the woman.
