Dusk Harvest
Chapter Four
The Monkey gets up from the ground and coats his fists with Metal Midrash energy. As soon as Bruno is within range, the Monkey attacks him with Gold Punch, the former tilts his head to dodge the punch.
Bruno follows up with his own punch, but it barely does any damage to the Monkey. He then creates a Rain Spellbomb and tries to shove onto the Monkey's face, but the Monkey uses his right hand to grab Bruno's wrist. Holding onto Bruno's wrist, the Monkey throws Bruno onto the wall of the house. A few pieces of wood from the house break into pieces. Bruno lands on his right side onto the ground.
Feeling the pain from being thrown onto the wall, Bruno struggles to get up. Since his body is on the floor, it is a good time to use his Construct. Bruno begins to transform into a brown Bear.
The Monkey is slightly startled by Bruno's transformation. Bruno uses this opportunity to coat his right claws with rain Water Midrash energy to swipe the Monkey's legs with Rain Claw. This move is an upgraded form of Water Claw. The Monkey takes the attack and lets out a cry of pain.
Now having the initiative, Bruno continues to attack the Monkey with multiple Rain Claws. To finish off the fight, he spits a Rain Spellbomb at his opponent. The Spellbomb explodes into rain particles. The Monkey falls down to the ground and begins to transform back into a human self.
Back in his human self, Bruno watches as the Monkey transforms into a young man whose age is about early twenties. His height is five feet one inch. A tan T-shirt, blue jeans, brown gloves, and brown boots were what the young man was wearing. The hair is black and messy and the eyes are golden brown.
After watching the entire fight between her cousin Bruno and the Monkey, she jumps down onto the ground.
"Wow!" Lyla said. "I guess I wouldn't do much against him if he were able to get you to use your Construct."
Bruno shakes his head. "Nah, I was on the ground so I thought I'd transformed into my Bear form."
Lyla sees Stella and Harold coming. "Oh, they're here!"
Walking up to Lyla, Stella notices the unconscious young man on the ground. "Huh? Who is that?"
"The Monkey." Bruno answered and then looked at Harold. "I was thinking of dragging him somewhere to question him."
"Good idea." Harold agreed. "But you should carry him instead so it wouldn't leave any unnecessary tracks."
Lyla notices dirt on Stella's white minidress. "Was that Monkey able to damage you guys?"
"Oh, this?" Stella asked and pulled up her damaged clothes. "No, it was a Chicken that attacked us. Harold took care of it, though!"
"Oh, that's why you guys were late." Lyla said.
"Let's talk about that later." Harold said. "We need to get out of here before anything else happens."
"Where should we go?" Bruno asked.
Harold looks around for a place to go. "The campsite is too far. Maybe behind those trees over there."
Bruno picks up and carries the young man in a fireman's carry.
"Whoa! Is he heavy, Bruno?" Stella asked.
"No, he's pretty light. Probably about Lyla's height and weight." Bruno answered.
"Hey!" Lyla snapped. "There is no way he's about my weight. I should be lighter than him."
Stella and Harold chuckle as the group walks east towards the trees.
It had been a minute or two since the group went behind a few trees east of the farm. The young man slowly moved as the leaf landed on his face.
"Hey," Stella whispered to Harold. "I think he's waking up."
"Why are you whispering, Lily?" Harold asked. "We want him to wake up, so we can question him."
"Oh, yeah! Forgot about that." Stella said, laughed a little and then turned to the young man. "Hey! He's up!"
Harold smirks at the young man. "Finally up, huh!"
The young man panics, flinches and tries to crab walk away, but he bumps into the tree behind. "What do you want?!"
"Us? You attacked us first, buddy." Harold said.
"Maybe," the young man began. "Because you guys came to my farm to steal my girlfriend!"
Stella's saffron eyes brighten up. "Harold! Is this true? You're looking for a girlfriend?"
"No!" Harold answered. "He's obviously been told some lies by the jade-eyes guy."
"Oh! That's good, then!"
"Alright," Harold said and then turned to look at the young man again. "Your name?"
".....Jin." the young man answered.
"Well, Jean!" Harold said. "Why did you attack us? You said something about stealing your girlfriend."
"It's Jin, not jean."
"Sorry about that. I mean Jin. Like the alcohol gin, right?"
"I don't know what that is…"
"So, why did you attack us?" Harold asked again.
"Oh, yeah." Jin said. "The Jade Cat said a handsome foreigner will be here along with a guy and two pretty girls. And the guys are after my girlfriend, so when I saw you guys at my doorstep, I thought you guys were the foreigners."
Stella got excited for some reason. "He called Lyla and me pretty. Hehe!"
"Right?!" Lyla said. "Looks like there was some truth to his lies."
"How do you know he was lying about that, too?!" Bruno asked Lyla.
"Hmp! You're just jealous because he didn't compliment you!" Lyla snapped.
"You called him the Jade Cat?" Harold asked. "Is this because he has jade-colored eyes and probably Maiden's Cat?"
"Yeah!" Jin answered. "His Therian form isn't an actual jade cat, though. It's a black cat. If you're not here to steal my girlfriend, then why are you here?"
"Well, the short version is he stole my friend's self-portrait painting." Harold nods towards Stella who waved hello. "We're trying to track him down, but every time we get to his last known location, he has gone somewhere else."
"Ah, I see." Jin said as he stood up. "Let's go to my house and ask my girlfriend!"
